Due to Covid 19 and the state of Hawaii closing tourism for the past five months, West Maui has the largest unemployment rate in the nation at over 50%. Our community is hurting and our friends are in pain. Everyday we wake up to small businesses closing their doors for good and friends being laid off permanently. Every Thursday, HUNDREDS line up to receive a box of food to help make it to the next week.
In March, we had a couple of new shirts designed not knowing life would be completely changing. At the time, Dallas and I really liked the designs but there was no meaning behind them. Fast forwarded to a month ago, great friends who love Maui reached out wanted to help us and our community. After prayer and a few conversations, our striped design tee started to look more like a rainbow with 808 on the end. Hawaii is known for it's rainbows. Rainbows are a reminder of HOPE. West Maui and all of Hawaii needs HOPE right now.
The sales from these shirts will help feed the West Maui Community during this crisis. Please help us by sharing this with others.
